A veteran of the banking industry in Michigan’s Great Southwest has landed a new role with a new institution, introducing a new community bank to the City of St. Joseph right at the crossroads of downtown.
Larry Morrow, who got his start with Inter City Bank back in 1989 working for Bob Burch, continued with them as Chemical Bank for more than 28 years and then took a role at Horizon Bank in St. Joseph nearly two years ago, is now Vice President of Business Development for Sturgis Bank & Trust which is establishing a Banking Loan Center on the northwest corner of the intersection of Main & Broad Streets, kitty-corner from the St. Joseph City Hall.
That space, at 320 Main Street, has been the home to the law offices of Attorney Gary Hosbein for several decades, and is always immediately recognizable at this time of the year for the dynamic Christmas light displays erected there each winter.
Morrow will be joined in that office by Loan Assistant Kim Lanier.
The final negotiations to acquire the Hosbein building are wrapping up and the deal is expected to be complete soon.
