If your bell bottom pants still fit and you’ve been grooming your mustache throughout Movember or longer, it’s time to show off tomorrow night at North Pier Brewing Company’s 4th Annual Grand Mustachio Bashio benefiting the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.
Tomorrow night, Saturday, December 7th starting at 6pm, North Pier Brewing Company will crank up the fun-meter once again by hosting a special 70’s theme, which is why you’ll want to dig out the bell bottoms and any other disco-era gear you might have and make your way to North Pier for some old-fashioned fun while helping homeless animals in our community.
North Pier owner, Jay Fettig, says “We’re excited to celebrate the 4th year of the Grand Mustachio Bashio and our partnership with the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. We want to give special thanks to this year’s sponsors Kruggel Lawton CPAs, Honor Credit Union and ROSTA USA. With their support we’re planning to make this the best Grand Mustachio Bashio yet.”
The December 7th celebration tomorrow night will include, among other things:
- A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Old Fashioned Bar starting at 6pm
- Taco Bar Presented by North Shore Inn starting at 6pm
- Live music by local super-group Modern Vultures starting at 6:30pm
- The Mustache Competition starting at 7:15pm with three categories
- Mustache King of Southwest Michigan
- Mustache Queen of Southwest Michigan (fake mustaches count too!)
- Nice Try
Entry to the event itself is free, however inasmuch as it is a fundraiser, donations are suggested, and ticket packages will be available at the door for $30 that include one drink ticket, an all-you-can-eat taco bar, and a donation to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Additionally, the first 50 people who purchase packages will also receive a free limited North Pier branded Old-Fashioned Glass.
Jay Fettig opened North Pier Brewing Company in Benton Harbor in May of 2016. With Steve Distasio at the brewing helm, North Pier salutes those who wander by exploring a wide range of styles with the Great Lakes community. Its family friendly taproom and outdoor beer garden is located less than a mile from Lake Michigan and features a rotating list of beers on tap, which visitors can enjoy by the glass on-site or to-go in growlers and cans. Fans can also find North Pier out in the wild at your favorite restaurant or liquor store.
