A wide ranging power outage of unknown origin is impacting the vast majority of downtown St. Joseph and reaching into the Southtown commercial and residential district as well today, Tuesday, August 6th, 2019.
St. Joseph Today was the first to report the outage which hit during the critical lunch hour downtown, starting around 12:21pm, impacting not only stores and businesses, but restaurants and diners as well.
St. Joe Today is telling members that the outage may not be resolved until around 5pm today, which is the projected time of resolution according to American Electric Power.
