Sen. Stabenow Will “Check In” to InterCare and More Next Week

If you happen to hear through the grapevine that U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow has checked in to the InterCare Clinic on M-139 in Benton Harbor next week, don’t be alarmed. It’s one of three key stops in a sort of listening tour she has undertaken to hear directly from the people of Michigan on healthcare issues.

Senator Stabenow will be in Southwest Michigan next Tuesday, July 2nd, as part of a series of visits across Michigan to “check in” and hear first-hand from Michigan patients, providers, and other stakeholders about their challenges and needs. Stabenow will first “check in” at the Benton Harbor VA Clinic and then at the InterCare Community Health Network Clinic. Later in the day she heads to Cass County where she will then meet with officials at the Cassopolis Family Clinic Network.

From hospitals, VA clinics and pharmacies to mental health and addiction treatment programs, home health and school based clinics, Senator Stabenow is visiting a broad range of health services and providers across the state this year.

As Ranking Member of the Health Care Subcommittee of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Stabenow plays an instrumental role in addressing federal health care policies. Her visits will help showcase innovative programs and services and discuss ways to improve services and bring down costs.

She will be at the Benton Harbor VA Outpatient Clinic on Tuesday, July 2nd at 10:00 AM. That clinic is located at 115 W. Main Street in downtown Benton Harbor.

Her next stop is at the InterCare Community Health Network that morning at 11:30 AM. The InterCare Clinis is located at 800 M-139 in Benton Harbor.

Her final stop of the day in our region comes in Cass County when she stops by the Cassopolis Family Clinic Network at 2:30 PM. The Cass clinic is located at 261 M-62 in Cassopolis.
