South Bend International Cites Corporate Wings as Partner of the Year

South Bend International Airport will present its prestigious Partner of the Year award this week, but it’s anything but a simple beauty contest. Those who earn the award have multiple standards to meet and the metrics to prove it. To win is a high honor.

The St. Joseph County Airport Authority Board of Directors, operators of South Bend International, will present Randall Jones, president and general manager of Corporate Wings, with their Partner of the Year award at their board meeting, tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 11:30 am in the board room at South Bend International Airport (SBN).

The Partner of the Year award is bestowed to a business partner who yields significant business growth, operational investment, and outstanding customer service.

Corporate Wings has made significant accomplishments over the past year that have contributed to their success at South Bend International. They have partnered with American Airlines, made substantial investments for new equipment, and begun facility renovations.

Those progressive actions allowed Corporate Wings to see a 70-percent growth in revenue and a 25-percent growth in total fuel volume sold. Additionally, they handled more than 190 charter flights and have nearly tripled the number of employees on the team.

Mike Daigle is South Bend International’s Executive Director. He says, “The determination to facilitate ongoing improvements that Randy and the entire Corporate Wings team has demonstrated is commendable,” and adds, “We want to give recognition where recognition is deserved.”

The award was last presented in 2016 to South Bend Chocolate Company.
