Some of us hear voices when we least expect to, but when you hear “Voices on the Veranda,” that’s a good thing, especially for the Berrien County Council for Children as they prepare for their 5th annual fundraiser on the Veranda at the Whitcomb overlooking Lake Michigan in downtown St. Joseph.
Stephanie Crider a Family Advocate and MDT Coordinator from the Children’s Assessment Center and the Berrien County Council for Children hopes you will consider joining their “Tailgate for Team Kids,” next week on August 23rd from 5:30 until 9:30pm on the Whitcomb’s colorful Veranda at 509 Ship Street in St. Joseph’s central business district.
The Berrien County Council for Children’s 5th Annual “Voices on the Veranda” carries the theme of “Tailgate for Team Kids,” and includes dinner, drinks, music, a wine-toss competition and other games and an auction.
Tickets can be obtained for just $40 per person in advance or $45 at the door. You can reserve your space on the organization’s website by clicking the link below, or you can contact Stephanie directly by calling 269-556-9640 or emailing her at scrider@berrienchild.org.
All proceeds from the fundraiser on the Veranda will go to expand the Berrien County Council for Children’s new sexual abuse prevention program.
There will be a cash bar on hand and casual attire is welcome, in fact, with the tailgate theme, Stephanie and her colleagues encourage you to consider wearing your favorite team jersey. The only penalties on this field of play will be for those “Not having fun,” so get ready to enjoy a night on the town for an excellent cause in Michigan’s Great Southwest.
