A familiar St. Joe building that has been home to many a great marketing mind and even housed the campaign headquarters for former State Representative & State Budget Director Al Pscholka is now the St. Joe home of Kruggel Lawton CPAs.
About ten days ago the final touches were complete on the building most recently referred to as the Perry Ballard Incubator Building and the Kruggel Lawton teamed moved in.
The regional accounting, tax and advisory firm completed extensive renovations on the 6,000 square foot building at 526 Upton Drive in St. Joseph just steps away from Lake Michigan and Benton Harbor’s Jean Klock Park.
Managing Partner Barry Hall, CPA, CGMA, says, “We wanted a space that would afford us room to grow and be reflective of our company and culture. The offices were built to achieve this and will allow us to better serve our growing client base.”
The new space heavily reflects one of Kruggel Lawton’s core values – innovation. Most noticeable inside are the bright, open, work spaces that encourage collaboration. In addition, the majority of work spaces have been outfitted with standing desks to promote employee health. All conference spaces include the latest technology for quick multimedia connectivity.
The basement level multipurpose room in the newly renovated building features seating for up to 50 people, which will allow the firm to host client seminars on-site.
Kruggel Lawton established its southwest Michigan location in 2015 when it combined operations with the St. Joseph-based accounting firm of Schaffer & Layher, PLLC. Since then, the firm has experienced steady growth with both clients and team members, outgrowing their former building located at 805 Van Brunt Avenue.
