If you want proof that there’s action on the jobs market look no further than Benton Harbor’s Abonmarche Consultants. They could have hosted their own job fair at the rate they’re hiring professional players. The Abonmarche engineering, architecture and surveying team has just added ten new associates for three different offices.
These five employees have been hired by Abonmarche to work out of the firm’s Benton Harbor office:
- Anne Gibbs, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, joins Abonmarche as the Human Resource Manager. Anne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University and brings to Abonmarche more than 25 years’ experience in Human Resource leadership positions in healthcare and manufacturing. Anne holds senior level HR professional certifications from the Society of Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Certification Institute.
- Ned Kulka will serve as the firm’s Marketing Director. Ned has a proven track record for utilizing effective, creative, and innovative marketing techniques to achieve results. He has 20+ years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies. Ned has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Political Science. He is also a recipient of the Creative Excellence in Business Advertising Awards as well as AIVA Communicator Awards.
- Caitlyn Smeltzer joins the firm as a Business Development Assistant. She graduated from Indiana University in December of 2016 with her Marketing degree. Caitlyn will provide support to the Abonmarche Business Development and Marketing teams.
- Georgette “Gigi” Scupham is an Engineering Executive Assistant. She brings 30+ years’ of experience to Abonmarche and spent most of her career supporting a variety of groups at the Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor; including Engineering, Human Resources, Sales and Distribution.
- Tonya Willis-Blanchard is a Project Architect. Tonya attended the University of Michigan where she completed her Master’s Degree in Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning. Tonya has 10+ years of experience in all aspects of Architecture and Urban Planning as a Project Manager and Architect. Her project experience includes city planning, automotive retail roll-out, financial institutions, commercial and medical facilities, streetscape design, master planning, and camp and park facility design.
These four employees have been hired to work out of the firm’s South Bend office:
- Fred Carlson will serve the firm as a Survey Crew Manager. Fred comes to Indiana from Atlanta, Georgia where he acquired more than 30 years of field and office management experience. He was the Owner and President of Benchmark Control, Inc., a Surveying firm in Atlanta for 14 years prior to coming to Abonmarche. Fred has enjoyed being involved in many large and prominent projects including the 1996 Olympics.
- Natasha Iuston joins Abonmarche as a CADD Technician. She has over 25 years of professional engineering experience, including 15 years of experience working on the creation of structural plans using AutoCAD that are consistent and clean for use in bidding and construction. Her main duties include the production of construction documents including Specifications, Special Provisions and project coordination.
- Matt Kirian is a Staff Engineer and formerly worked for the Troyer Group in South Bend. Matt has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He will focus on design engineering and assisting Project Managers on various site development projects.
- Scott Leblang, PE, will serve in the capacity of Project Manager. Scott was formerly employed with Keller Engineering as a Senior Structural Engineer. His expertise is in structural design for a wide variety of building types including commercial, residential, mixed-use developments, industrial, and educational. He also has experience in a wide range of materials such as steel, wood, concrete and masonry. Scott has many notable accomplishments in the Northern Indiana area to include TRANSPRO, University of Notre Dame, and Martin’s Super Markets. Scott is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
The company also has hired one employee to work out of the firm’s Hobart office:
- Mark Holm joins the firm as Survey Crew Chief. Prior to joining Abonmarche, Mark worked for Davies and Associates Surveying in Chesterton, Indiana. Mark has over 10 years of land surveying experience that he brings to the team. He will work closely with project surveyors and managers on projects throughout Indiana and Michigan.
