When you are a financial advisor working closely with clients who rely on you for reliable and accurate information, your goal is to always align with the team that can work the best for both you and your client. With that in mind, a couple of local financial advisors have elected to move on from Wells Fargo and join the team at LPL Financial, creating an entirely new enterprise in the Edgewater neighborhood of St. Joseph.
Zeb Deitrich and Tom King have both departed Wells Fargo after long tenures of 14 years and 8 years respectively. Tom has been a financial advisor since 1998 and Zeb spent seven years on the mortgage side of Wells Fargo in management before transitioning to the Wealth Management side of the house in 2011.
Deitrich and King tell me they parted ways with Wells Fargo to take up with LPL Financial because “Our investment strategy and values no longer aligned with Wells Fargo Bank.” Deitrich says, “We felt to better serve our clients, we would start our own investment practice,” adding, “We also like the flexibility of running our own investment practice with more choices for clients, better client experiences, and the ability to keep costs and expenses low.”
On March 2nd, the two established LPL Financial at 500 Renaissance Drive in Suite 102-C north of the St. Joseph River in St. Joseph’s Edgewater neighborhood.
Deitrich and King say that as financial advisors they believe they can forever enhance the lives of clients, by focusing on active financial strategies, as an alternative to buy and hold strategies. They also believe that the focus should be on understanding your family’s goals, and developing a written investment plan in order to pursue those goals.
The duo aims “to avoid any future regret from your decisions today that might impact your future, and seek to build a relationship with you like no one else will, so they can help you manage your wealth like no one else can.”
