Silver Harbor Brewing Adding a Year-Round Beer Garden

Silver Harbor Brewing Company has been one of the hottest spots in town since arriving on the scene a couple of summers ago, and in-season their outdoor patio is one of the highest demand dining venues in the region. Recognizing that nobody wants to have to give up that great space when winter rolls around, the crew at Silver Harbor has launched an expansion project to create The Garden at Silver Harbor Brewing.

Blueprints have been drafted, demolition is underway, and coming by spring will be a new, year round beer garden right there on site in downtown St. Joseph.

Silver Harbor calls it, “An open air experience in the summer but a bright, relaxing green space in the winter.”

The team at Silver Harbor, located at 721 Pleasant Street one block off of Main, is doing the prep work to make way for installation of two 13-foot remote-controlled garage door/windows…a 40-foot green living wall, re-claimed wood dating to 1858 and a viewing opportunity into the brewing operations at the popular craft brew house.

Featuring approximately 5o to 75 seats, The Garden at Silver Harbor Brewing will be, “A place to relax and enjoy a great brew without any rush or worries,” according to the message they dispatched to loyal followers this week. The garden will also feature large community style tables, small social sections, and “overall, just a laid back vibe” awaiting you.

The brewery’s dispatch also included a sneak peek at the construction underway for The Garden, arriving in the Spring of 2018 at the international award-winning brewery in St. Joseph. Stay tuned.
