A new premium wireless provider has opened up shop in Benton Charter Township, representing the sixth site in what may well be 25 total new locations by the end of the year. The Wireless Zone Verizon Store quietly opened this week in the commercial strip center anchored by Planet Fitness and El Rodeo on opposite ends of the ramp. That quiet opening amps up considerably this weekend with a full-tilt Grand Opening celebration complete with live radio broadcasts from Rock 107 WIRX, free HD tablets for kids, gift cards and a 50-inch flat screen TV giveaway.
Franchised by SmartLinks, the new Wireless Zone Verizon Store features mobile technology through smartphones, iPads, other tablets and HUM smart car devices that act much like an OnStar device for users.
Becky Struwin is the Director of Sales for Wireless Zone which has already established new sites in Lansing, Sturgis, Traverse City, Wyoming, Fenton and now Benton Harbor. She is one busy lady as she works through the logistics of setting up 25 stores by the end of the year, including the likelihood of two or three more in Berrien County alone. They are also opening in Illinois and Wisconsin with two each in Chicago and Madison and a total of ten between those two communities on the other side of Lake Michigan.
Wireless Zone, as franchised by SmartLinks, is an authorized re-seller into the Verizon wireless network for global communications. Their Grand Opening Celebration will take place this Saturday, October 28th.
Becky says you might be happy to know that her Benton Harbor Manager Caesar Mendoza, herself and their colleague Eloy Hernandez are “back in the loop,” for clients they have serviced over the years elsewhere in the region with another company.
Struwin says, “One major difference with Wireless Zone Verizon is that we do not charge a processing fee for customers who like to pay their bill on site, in the store, unlike other units that do charge.”
The new shop is located at 1355 Mall Drive between Planet Fitness and El Rodeo, immediately next door to the Armed Forces Recruiting Station for Southwest Michigan.
The new store will be open 7 days a week, maintaining hours of 9am until 8pm Monday through Saturday and 11am until 5pm on Sundays.
