A remarkable young professional who took part in urban and residential design of the beautiful Las Calinas in Costa Rica, lived for 10 months in Rome and played a key role in developments such as Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina has brought her talents in architecture, interior design and staging to the shores of Lake Michigan to establish her new Paladin Design House. Molly Hannon brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and considerable pedigree to her new business which offers a full spectrum of design support for both home and business owners alike.
Hannon plans to fill a gap in the market, offering a full menu of services that fit a variety of customers’ needs. She says, “I love designing, and I know how good it feels to have a well-designed space to wake up in, to work in, and I want to share that with my clients.”
A Notre Dame graduate with a degree in architecture and ten years of experience, Molly studied Classical Architecture and Urbanism and after her work in Rome and Costa Rica she says she was fortunate enough to work in architecture and design while living in Savannah, Georgia were she was immersed in Low Country luxury at developments such as Palmetto Bluff.
More recently she has worked along the shores of Lake Michigan in high-end residential architecture and interior design. She also earned her Indiana Real Estate Broker’s license two years ago, allowing her to use that as a tool to learn the dynamics of the local marketplace.
Molly tells me, “I want to help my clients find their scope, whether it is a few paint and decor choices, or they are renovating or building new.” She adds, “I truly believe that a well thought out space breeds productivity and happiness, and lets us focus on other aspects of life or work.”
The range of services that Paladin offers includes Home Staging for the real estate market, Interior Design including bath & kitchen design, Interior Decorating & Styling, Consultation and Concierge services. Her unique brand of concierge offers clients the option to have the small but necessary items for a home or business taken care of, like flatware, dishes, linens, small appliances, and other items that some may not want to hassle with, which lends itself well to a vacation-home community.
That’s why she will tell you, “I love the unique market in the St. Joseph area, it has brought together people from a lot of different places, mostly to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and mixing their aesthetic with the local vernacular makes my job really fun.”
Molly hopes to make an impact on the local market, helping clients “find their language” through her adaptable design approach, saying, “I let the job and client help inform the style of the work, but having touched every part of a project you can tell it is by my hand.” She notes, “I love speaking different languages when it comes to design, and creating a close relationship with my clients allows the design to be fluid to their exact needs and desires.”
While Molly’s business is anchored in South Bend, her trade takes her throughout Michigan’s Great Southwest, Northwest Indiana, and even beyond those borders for e-consultations and potential travel wherever the need takes her talents.
