BH’s North Shore Inn Adds Sunday Breakfast to Their Destination Corner

The ageless North Shore Inn may have just assembled the greatest gift ever to Sunday morning golf. The popular burger joint that is on virtually everyone’s list who has ever argued over the timeless question of “where’s the best place to get a burger in this area,” is poised to change Sunday morning golf at Harbor Shores forever.

Over the course of the past 25 years, the North Shore Inn at 107 Higman Park Road in Benton Harbor, has traditionally been closed on Sundays. Well, that has all changed. Owner Anne-Elise Lansdown tells me, “Opening for breakfast on Sundays is just the next step in our evolution as a Southwest Michigan staple.” She’s excited to announce new breakfast offerings every Sunday from 8am until 2pm.

Lansdown says, “Similar to our traditional menu, we’ll be serving hearty comfort food, from Biscuits & Gravy to our Breakfast Burrito to our Signature Breakfast Hamburger, you’ll find the perfect meal for a relaxing Sunday.”

It’s a revolutionary change for the People’s Choice Award Winning restaurant at the corner of Higman Park Road and North Shore Drive, and the change will be a winning combination for golfers at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Harbor Shores Golf Course whose 13th hole exit ramp descends directly behind the restaurant before looping behind the neighboring North Pier Brewing Company and crossing North Shore Drive to the tee for hole number 14.

Lansdown says, “Golfers at Harbor Shores can even call in their breakfast orders on Hole 11 and pick up their food as they drive from Hole 13 to Hole 14. To-go menus are provided in each golf cart with detailed ordering instructions.”

When you combine the destination attraction qualities of both the North Pier Brewing Company and its sister establishment at the North Shore Inn, at the heart of the Harbor Shores Resort neighborhood, it’s a pretty hot corner for foodies.

North Pier Brewing is owned and operated by Lansdown’s brother, Jay Fettig, and the synergy they enjoy is mutually beneficial. Jay’s North Pier Brewing team works closely with the Inn to provide food to its customers in addition to the food trucks they host on Saturdays and some special occasions. As Jay says, “The addition of breakfast on Sundays provides another reason to visit this growing corner of Southwest Michigan, what better way to spend your afternoon than having a cold craft beer and eating a Breakfast Burger.

The new North Shore Inn Sunday breakfast menu offers the North Shore Scramble, the Breakfast Burger, a traditional breakfast plate, a Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Sandwich, Biscuits & Gravy, French Toast, Oatmeal, a Fruit Bowl, a Pastry Bowl, coffee, juices, milk, Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

The Fettig family always welcomes families at both establishments and have always been family-focused, In fact, Jay tells me that North Pier Brewing is hosting a benefit “Charity Beer Mile” to benefit the Berrien County Council for Children and the Children’s Assessment Center. He calls it “a fun, unique way for people to support a good cause.”

That event will take place on Saturday, July 29th from noon until 3pm, starting at North Pier Brewing at 670 North Shore Drive with a pint of beer before running .6-mile to The Livery and downing a second pint ahead of the return trip to North Pier for a third pint. That’s 1.2-miles and three pints with prizes for best time and best theme costuming relating to The 80’s. Tickets are available for both those who want to enter and those who want to enjoy a beer and make it a spectator sport.
