It has become a rite of passage for the summer season in Michigan’s Great Southwest. One of the longest running family-owned authentic Italian restaurants in the region has learned to really cut loose over the past several years for their annual Summer Bash that takes place half inside and half outside of the wildly popular restaurant, and there’s a pretty good chance things will amp up considerably again this year when Santaniello’s Restaurant & Banquet Facility fires up the party this weekend.
The Santaniello’s team is approaching its 50th anniversary year — that happens next year. But, this Summer Bash business has been at it for several years now and draws a sizable crowd of fun-loving people who know how to party in their own right. It happens Saturday, July 1, 2017.
Rosanna Santaniello tells me that the doors on Summer Bash 2017 will crank open at 6pm for a $7-dollar cover charge. Opening on stage for the evening will be locally-born musician and family-favorite Scott Bucholtz with the Bucholtz Blues & Boogie from Detroit. They take to the stage at 6:45pm and will also feature recording artist Austin Bucholtz for a set as well.
At 9pm, Chicago’s own premier dance party band, Libido Funk Circus hits the bandstand for a rollicking good time, with a DJ covering between live sets.
While the outstanding Santaniello menu of pizzas and great Italian offerings will be available for both inside and outside service, Ralfie will also fire up the outdoor grill and sell burgers in the bullpen and there will be Bud Light and other drink specials from Bud Distributing throughout the bash along with a Sangria special at outside bars and inside as well.
Something new to the Santaniello experience will debut during the Summer Bash — they will be selling Santaniello branded clothing gear. Party-goers will also have the chance to win a brand new hot tub from Sensational Spas of Stevensville or a number of other prizes.
If you’ve never been to the Santaniello’s Summer Bash, you’re in for a treat. Please keep in mind that the party outside is a 21-and-over event. The restaurant and party are located at 2262 W. Glenlord Road in Stevensville.
