Local Teens Prove Compassion Never Goes Out of Style

For several years now teen high school students from St. Joseph High School have been on a mission to prove that regardless of the ever-changing world of fashion, compassion never goes out of fashion. They have been highly successful at that mission, and hope you’ll join them soon in their drive to keep compassion alive at their annual Fashion with Compassion event on June 15th.

Fashion with Compassion is a fashion show, organized and directed by students from St. Joseph High School, wherein young adults from area schools will showcase apparel on loan from local businesses. Those who attend will also have opportunities to bid on silent auction items before the show, and during the intermission.

Best of all is that all proceeds from the event will benefit Lory’s Place, a Grief Healing and Education Center of Caring Circle, whose mission is to provide a safe, comforting atmosphere for children and adults in which grief healing can take place following the death of a family member, important friend, or loved one. The services of Lory’s Place are free and available to all who need them.

Fashion with Compassion tickets are on sale now for the big event on the Veranda at the Whitcomb in downtown St. Joseph slated for Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 6pm. The Veranda at the Whitcomb is a beautiful historic site at 509 Ship Street in St. Joseph that plays host to weddings and wedding receptions virtually every weekend all summer long.

Cost to attend Fashion with Compassion this year is just $7 for students and $10 for adults. You can also reserve a table for eight for just $70. You can purchase individual or table tickets online by clicking the link below, or you can also purchase them at Lory’s Place, 445 Upton Drive in St. Joseph or at the Whitcomb the night of the event.
