Many times people will caution, "don't become a statistic." That's understandable if they're working to keep you from being a highway statistic, or among the ranks of those violated through identity theft or something. However, the folks at Team Kinexus are willing to bet that when it comes to a statistic like today's 242,000 new jobs outlined in the Bureau of Labor Statistics report, it might be a good thing to "become a statistic." That's why they are inviting you to a training opportunities information session at Lake Michigan College.
Kinexus of Benton Harbor will present information about high demand occupations or industries and training opportunities in Southwest Michigan on March 16th at 2:30pm in Room C-223 on the Napier Campus of Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor.
That session will focus on the different types of training available in the local market that can lead to sustainable employment for participants. Talent Development Specialists will be on hand to answer your questions about the potential for funds to cover the cost of training and labor market information. Even those students already enrolled in a college program are encouraged to attend the event at 2755 E. Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor.
If you are interested in this information session, you are required to sign up online at either of the links provided below prior to the event. Future sessions will be held quarterly if this particular session doesn't match up with your personal availability.
If you have questions prior to registration, you are invited to contact Evelyn Ramos, Talent Development Specialist by email at ramose@miworks.org.
