Anyone for Wine & Dodgeball?

When's the last time in your adult life that you played a little dodgeball while enjoying a bit of wine tasting in a first class setting while a DJ cranks out some of your favorite tunes? Believe it or not, the crew at the RAC, more formally known as the Renaissance Athletic Club of Benton Harbor, offers up a bit of all that and more during a one-day Fitness Festival next week.

Club Manager Bob Good is utilizing some of those tactics to lure folks in for club tours, a yoga class and more to showcase ways for the adult community to stay in shape not only here in the heart of bathing suit season, but well into the fall and beyond in a celebration of fitness at the club. Best of all, you don't have to be a member of the RAC in order to take advantage of the opportunity.

Good and his RAC team will swing open the doors for a full-tilt open house from 4pm until 8:30pm next Wednesday, July 27th at 501 Graham Avenue in Benton Harbor bordering the first and second holes of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Club at Harbor Shores.

Here's what he's got planned for the evening:

  • DJ Brock from the Plan B Morning Show on Rock 107 live from 4pm-6pm
  • Dodgeball on the Turf Field out front from 6pm-8pm
  • Yin Yoga Class from 6:30pm-7:45pm
  • Lazy Ballerina Wine Tasting from 7:30pm-8:30pm
  • Club Tours throughout the entire event

The event is open to both Members and Non-Members, and everyone's invited to bring a friend to the celebration of fitness. With both wine tasting and dodgeball, things could turn interesting, to say the least. Call 927-1129 to register your attendance free of charge next Wednesday, the 27th.
