I believe that they can demonstrate boldness by being able to confidently ask questions that help lead people in the right direction.

Please provide an example of when you feel you were at your very best in taking action on the job or in your role.
I feel most confident in taking action when I am able to lead our employees into ‘new territory’…such as adding a new programs to the club, like pickleball.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
During my first week as General Manager in 2017, the power went out at the club – leaving tennis players, swimmers and people in the fitness area in complete darkness. I had members coming up to me saying ‘Didn’t anyone tell you that you are now in charge of making sure the bills are paid?!’. I started running around frantically thinking I missed some bill or forgot to mail a check in time…until a few moments later the power company notified us there was an outage in our area and it should be restored momentarily…what a welcoming event to a new position!
Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
Seeing the accomplishments that other working mothers around the world have conquered inspires me to continue to be able to have a fulfilling personal and professional balance.
What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
My best advice would be to surround yourself with likeminded individuals, both personally and professionally, that you can rely on to push each other towards your goals.
What does your selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market mean to you?
I am honored to be included in the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market. Seeing the other women in this group and who have been inducted before us should give people confidence in the direction the community is headed.
