The Allegan County Community Foundation has announced more than $346,000 in scholarships to more than 140 students in Allegan and Van Buren counties. The scholarships are going to graduating high school seniors, returning college students, and adult learners following a wide variety of paths. To celebrate, ACCF says it’s had the chance to attend several award nights around the county and is grateful to the school districts in Allegan County for their partnership. Each year, ACCF staff visits up to ten school districts during their senior awards nights to hand out scholarships. Among the scholarship awards is $47,000 for the Bloomingdale Area Education Foundation Scholarship and the William “Bill” Lake Memorial Scholarship, both in Bloomingdale.
