Jason Arndt has owned Zielke Towing for almost 20 years and is the driving force behind the company’s growth, expertise and reputation.
Jason Arndt wants two things: One, to get the call when you need a tow. (So, put 925-9573 in your phone). And two, to have an opportunity to repair your vehicle if and when you need a repair shop.
You see, Jason has been fixing things for his entire life. He explains that when he picks up something and looks at it, his mind immediately goes to “How does this thing work? How is it put together?” And if it’s broken, Jason immediately thinks about how to fix it! It’s in his nature. It’s who he is. He wants everything to work better and everything that’s broken to get fixed!
Jason began following his destiny 30 years ago in the Watervliet and Hartford area, working at repairing things. It wasn’t long before he had his own local auto repair shop in Hartford. Soon he had acquired a couple of used ‘wreckers’– tow trucks, and by 2001, that part of the business had been launched.
Jason knew he could do more, so in 2005 he purchased the successful Zielke Towing and Tires, a 30-year fixture in the Berrien County market. Jason made a strategic decision to retain the well-known Zielke brand, and a couple of years later consolidated several operations at 1303 M-139, a spacious existing industrial building that allowed him to grow all aspects of his enterprise: towing, full-service auto and truck repair, fabrication of tow trucks, punch press, shaft straightening, lathe work, milling and welding.
Jason Arndt oversees all these related business activities on M-139, as well as the Hartford repair shop. He has a fulltime skilled staff of 14, plus back office and administrative help from his wife, Sarah.
