With an ever burgeoning demand for hospitality workers to fill the gaps at local restaurants, resorts, hotels and other destination attractions, Kinexus and Lake Michigan College will deliver an encore to their Hospitality Job Fair and Expo this spring. The success of the inaugural event provided by the collaboration last year has led to increased demand from the employers in need.
In response to that employer demand, LMC and Kinexus are excited to host another Hospitality Job Fair and Expo. This hiring opportunity will connect business with talent of all ages to staff local growing hospitality and tourism industries for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions.
This year Lake Michigan College and Kinexus have expanded the expo and will be hosting the event in two locations. The first event is on Monday, April 9, from 2 to 6pm at The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor. On Wednesday, April 11, from 2 to 6pm the event will be held at the Niles campus of Lake Michigan College.
Employers will be on hand to accept resumes, answer questions, and conduct on-site interviews. Meanwhile, Kinexus will provide Resume Writing workshops from 2:30 to 3pm and Interview Skills workshops from 3 to 3:30pm at both locations. Local school culinary programs will also be present during the events.
Last year’s event drew over 300 job seekers and roughly 60 employers to register. Over 500 employers and job seekers are expected to attend this year’s events.

The expo that will take place on April 9 at The Mendel Center in Benton Harbor is located at 2755 E. Napier Avenue. The expo on April 11 that will take place at the Lake Michigan College Niles campus is located at 1905 Foundation Drive.
