IdeaCon 2.0 symposium coming soon to Lake Michigan College

If you’re seeking to understand more about what’s on the minds of college students these days, you might think about attending Lake Michigan College’s upcoming Student Symposium, IdeaCon 2.0.

IdeaCon 2.0 is an annual event where students will deliver presentations and performances on a diverse array of topics including psychology, health sciences, biology, and creative writing, among others.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their work and demonstrate their passions and achievements,” LMC English Instructor Erik Mortenson said. “Please consider coming out and supporting them!”

Topics already slated for discussion include, Sea Urchins and the Destruction of Kelp Forests, Turner Syndrome, Effects of VR and Non-VR Guided Meditation, and Deforestation and Palm Oil. Organizers say many presentations will offer an opportunity to questions.

The event is free and open to the public. It is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 from 10 am to 2 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room (L311) on the Benton Harbor Campus at 2755 E. Napier Avenue.
