Harry Kalin of St. Joseph is this year’s Mr. Blossomtime. He was crowned Sunday night.

Each community taking part in the Blossomtime contest sends two contestants for the title of Mr. Blossomtime. They’re judged on poise, interviewing skills, community service, and communications as well as stage presence and personality.

So, what did Harry have to say for himself?

“I want to thank, first of all, my parents for just being so supportive,” Kalin said, “My mom did all the bedazzling on that Ken outfit you saw. She did an amazing job. I want to thank my grandparents, my aunts. Basically, my whole family have been so supportive. And of course, I want to thank the judges for seeing this in me. Thank you so much.”

Ethan Williams of Bridgman was first runner up and T.J. Van Horn of Stevensville was second runner up. Sullivan Summers of Stevensville was named Mr. Nice Guy, while Connor Lumley was the People’s Choice.

They’ll crown Mrs. Blossomtime tonight.
