Chef Tim Foley of Bread+bar & Bit o’ Swiss has Died

One of Southwest Michigan’s best known longtime chefs and restauranteurs has passed away.

Tim Foley was most associated with the Bit o’ Swiss bakery on Ridge Road in Stevensville for decades.  His artisan breads and other creations there were frequently honored in national and international competition.

In recent years, Foley had focused on the ‘Bread+bar’,  an upscale casual dining spot on Riverview Drive in Benton Harbor.

Foley had sold the Bit o’ Swiss to veteran employees, as detailed in a 2022 story on MoodyOnTheMarket.com.
