Owners and operators of Midwest Timer Service of Benton Harbor, the Chapmans have retained the services of Calder Capital, LLC to guide their acquisition of lower middle market manufacturers, industrial players, wholesale operations and/or distribution specialists in Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.
Midwest Timer is a very successful, well-established manufacturing company headquartered along M-63 north of Benton Harbor specializing in electromechanical timers for Fortune 500 original equipment manufacturers. Calder Capital’s Patrick Robey is leading the strategy as Midwest Timer looks for firms with revenue of $2-million and higher and a desired cash flow in the neighborhood of $500k to $1.5m. Midwest Timer will pay all of Calder’s fees, so none will accrue to the target firm.
Robey says that Midwest Timer is flexible regarding the deal structure and they are open to 100-percent buyouts or controlling-interest positions that allow the seller to cash out over a period of time if they are so interested.
Prospective firms should be able to exhibit proven profitability and MTS will give preference to those companies that wish to complete a transaction in the near term.
