The Academic Challenge team from Berrien Springs High School topped the scholars from New Buffalo in the final round of this year’s ‘Academic Challenge.’
The contest between area high schools has more than a 50 year heritage in Berrien County. It’s broadcast live on News/Talk/Sports 94.9 WSJM and streamed/podcasted for on-demand listening.
The major sponsor and host for the physical location of Academic Challenge is Signature Dealer Group in Benton Harbor. Cook Nuclear Plant and Berrien Springs Public Schools are supporting sponsors of the program.
Signature Dealer Group General Manager Bill Crowder personally attends almost all of the competition. Crowder was a member of a National Championship Academic Challenge team during his high school career in 1978. WSJM and Mid-West Family say ‘Thanks, Mr. Crowder” for ‘paying in forward!’
